Performance
I thought that the final performance was amazing everyone knew their lines and said it with confidence and energy. I thought that my augment with John Tate went very well because during the rehearsals I was suppose to take of my hat out of anger but I always forgot however in the final performance I didn’t have to remember to take my hat off I just did it because I was in the moment I was Richard, I was thinking like him walking like him and talking like him I was Richard!

I was very impressed with Beau as John Tate.  His character was convincing he showed the characters frustration and anger very well. The way he used his voice to shout and even whisper his lines where convincing. You could tell that when he was whispering that he was angry and when he shouts he is frustrated I liked how he did that it made it more effective.

The costumes where great you could tell that we were from the same school because of the ties. However the most convincing and embellished costume was Daniels the way it was ripped and muddy and burnt brought out the character event more. I think that when you are fully in costume and only when you go all out you become your character naturally, with much ease. The acting from everyone was amazing and everyone went all out, there were a few mistakes with lines but because we were all supporting each other it was unnoticeable. I cannot specify a specific moment in the play that had a strong point but if I had to I think scene one because it had a good pace and didn’t drag out too much.  I think that the change over’s could have been developed further because I thought it seemed a bit messy, there were too many people on stage at once and the audience might have not seen all the change over’s. That is about the only thing I can think of improving.

Final Rehearsal
Today we made a few slight changes for my opening scene e.g. instead of facing away from each other we will face each other but not directly so the audience can see us and this will make sure we are in time with what we are doing and looks cleaner. The other thing that we have changed is that instead of a tie representing our character we will have a hat this is mainly because everyone will have the same tie and it won’t be special to the individual character. The play is coming together nicely, everyone knows there lines which makes the pace move quicker and even after going over the lines again and again I always seem to laugh at the funny comments which is a good sing because that means there is energy in the play.

Rehearsal 5
Today we worked on our character change over this will help the audience understand that the character will now be played by a different actor. The change over between me and TJ  is simple we walk on from different directions and I take off the tie giving it to TJ indicating that he will be me then we walk off in the direction the other person came from, the tie represents who gets to speak.
Targets
·         Put more energy/feeling into my lines

·         Perfect the opening scene with TJ

Rehearsal 4
Today we have been focusing on the opening scene me and TJ have changed a few things to suite what we are wearing which is a school uniform. Before we were going to have a hoodie that we would both use to represent our character but since it is a school uniform we thought it would be easier just to use a tie to represent our character because it is quicker and easier to take off and put on and it fits the theme.  The school uniform will consist of: a tie, a white shirt and black trousers. For props we will only be using a can of deodorant. Our character is quite scruffy so our tie will be short and fat and our shirts won’t be tucked in. We want the audience to know straight away that our character is not a goody two shoes and that he is a bit of a rebel.
Now that most people are off script including me we have started focusing on how we deliver the lines and our body language. Also I am able to react as my character to what the others are saying in the scene because I am no longer reading from a script, this makes my acting less wooden.

Rehearsal 2
Today we continued to practice our scene, to make sure it looks good and that everyone remembers where to come on and what to do. I decided to when my character was standing against the wall he should eat something just to see what it would be like to eat on stage and also to see if it suits my character so I got some chocolates. When I was eating I just didn’t see my character doing it and it didn’t feel right so no chocolates next time or any type of food. I seem to know the first half of my lines I just need to remember the lines before mine and remember the rest of my lines by rehearsal 4 after half term.
